Our Mission

Zippos Ms HottieHorses in the field

Reins of Hope is a 501c3 nonprofit therapeutic riding center for persons with dis’Abilities.’  Our mission is to offer the most miraculous benefits of horseback riding to any person challenged by physical, mental, or emotional dis’Abilities.’  By cultivating personal empowerment and overcoming life’s challenges we broaden horizons and hand over the ‘reins of hope.’

We are also an equine rescue facility. Reins of Hope extends the olive branch to special equines that have been neglected, abused, or abandoned. Our commitment to horses is to improve the minds, bodies, and spirits of our special needs equines and find loving eternal homes for them.

NARHA Centers Provide Equine Assisted Activites

Just as other professions use accreditation and licensing systems to improve the well-being of their industries, therapeutic equine professionals have a distinction of their own thanks to NARHA’s Premier Accredited Center Program. The Premier Accredited Center Program offers NARHA centers the chance to demonstrate their excellence in providing quality, professional equine assisted activities. This voluntary process recognizes NARHA centers that have met established industry standards. The accreditation process is a peer review system, in which trained volunteers visit and evaluate centers in accordance with NARHA standards. Centers that meet the accreditation requirements based on the administrative, facility, program and applicable special interest standards become Premier Accredited Centers for a period of 5 years. Centers must renew that accreditation by the end of the fifth year. (Source: http://www.narha.org/)
